Terms of Service

What's good to know before you use Sliver.

Last updated · November 1, 2026

What this covers

These terms cover Sliver as downloaded from this website (the direct version) and this website. The Mac App Store version is also subject to Apple's standard terms.

30-day free trial

The direct version is free to use with every feature for 30 days from the day you first open the app, with no credit card.

When the trial ends, Sliver locks from the next launch until you enter a license key.

License

When you buy Sliver you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use it. It isn't a subscription and it doesn't expire.

One license key works on up to 2 Macs. To move to a new Mac, deactivate the old one in Sliver's settings, then activate the new one.

The free App Store version is limited to 3 windows and 5 bookmarks.

Payments

Direct purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy. The price is shown at checkout, and taxes may be added depending on where you are.

Refunds

Email sliver.multitask@gmail.com within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you, no questions asked.

As a rule, one refund per customer. We may decline repeated requests or requests that look like abuse.

Once a purchase is refunded, its license key stops working.

Please don't

  • Copy, redistribute or resell Sliver, or share your license key publicly
  • Take the app apart or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows
  • Try to get around the trial or the license checks

Third-party websites and trademarks

Sliver only displays the websites you choose and isn't responsible for their content or services.

YouTube, Google, Gemini, Instagram and other names and logos shown on this site and in the app belong to their owners. Sliver isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Known limitations

Sliver uses WebKit, the same engine as Safari, so:

  • Some Google sites may sign you out from time to time or show an unsupported browser message.
  • Passkeys aren't supported yet.
  • Chrome extensions aren't supported.
  • It runs on macOS 12.3 Monterey or later.

Limits on our responsibility

Sliver is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages from using Sliver, and where we are liable, it's limited to the amount you paid for Sliver. These terms don't limit rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date above.
